The Personal Data File for the JA Company Program
The JA companies participating in the JA Company Program (hereinafter referred to as the program) are registered in the data file maintained by Junior Achievement Finland (Nuori Yrittäjyys ry). During registration, the contact information for the JA company and the contact and personal information for the members of the JA company, the teacher in charge, and the advisors (hereinafter referred to as clients) is collected.

Purpose of the Personal Data Use
Junior Achievement Finland collects data during registration. The data stored within the register is based on the information provided by the client by submitting an electronic registration form. The data is used to maintain customer relationships, communication, compiling statistics for the program, and research and marketing.
Content of the Personal Data File
Junior Achievement Finland collects the following information regarding the JA company, the school, the teachers, the advisors, and the members of the JA company:
Name of the JA company
Summary of the business idea of the JA company
Operating period of the JA company
WWW addresses for the JA company’s website and social media accounts
Operating language of the JA company
Line of business of the JA company
Contact phone number of the JA company
Contact email address of the JA company
Name of the school
Level of education provided by the school
Contact information for the school
Region in which the school is located
First and last names of the teacher
Work email address of the teacher
Phone number of the teacher
Educational establishment(s) where the teacher is employed
First and last names of the advisor
Name of the advisor’s organization
Email address of the advisor
Phone number of the advisor
Number of the members of the JA company by gender
First and last names of the members of the JA company
Personal email addresses of the members of the JA company
Personal phone numbers of the members of the JA company
Dates of births of the members of the JA company, date format dd.mm.yyyy.
Name of the educational establishment where the members of the JA company are registered students.
During registration for various events and competitions, data regarding allergies and dietary requirements may also be collected along with information related to the nature of the event or competition. However, this data is not attached to the existing data file.
Disclosure of Personal Data
In principle, Junior Achievement Finland does not disclose information to outside third parties who are not related to the operation of Junior Achievement Finland or the program.
Junior Achievement Finland may disclose information to its regional operator network to allow the regional operators to market and organize events and competitions, such as the JA regional expos that are a part of the program.
Junior Achievement Finland may disclose contact information to new clients joining the program who wish to exchange experiences. For example, the contact information of the teachers participating in the program may be provided to other teachers who are joining the program or thinking about joining.
Junior Achievement Finland may publish the names of the JA companies participating in the program, the summaries of the companies’ business ideas, the addresses of the websites and social media accounts of the companies, the names of the schools where the companies operate, and the regions where the schools are located on its website.
Junior Achievement Finland may publish the names of the JA companies participating in competitions and the names and the regions of the schools on its website and publications.
From time to time, Junior Achievement Finland receives inquiries from companies or private individuals wishing to purchase the services of JA companies. In such an event, Junior Achievement Finland may, at its discretion, disclose the contact information and website address of the JA company. If the contact information is the same as the personal contact information of a member, the information will not be disclosed without requesting permission.
The data will not be transferred outside of the European Union or the European Economic Area without special authorization.
Protection of the Personal Data File
Only the employees of Junior Achievement Finland or of companies and organizations commissioned by and working for Junior Achievement Finland whose job description covers it are allowed to access the data file and maintain the information thereof. The data system is protected and may only be accessed by assigned users with personal user accounts and passwords.
Right of Inspection
The clients have the right to inspect their personal data stored in the register and to demand correction. Inspection requests must be made in writing and signed and addressed to: Nuori Yrittäjyys ry, Kuortaneenkatu 2, FI-00510 Helsinki, Finland.
